Nacht van de Wijn turns the Werkspoorkathedraal, a vast former railway workshop in Utrecht, into a relaxed wine festival for its seventh edition. Wine merchants and makers pour their bottles, there is food to soak it all up, and the industrial setting gives the whole thing a buzzing night-out feel rather than a stuffy tasting.
South Africans may enjoy hunting for familiar Stellenbosch or Swartland labels among the European bottles.
