Van Gogh adored Japanese prints, so the Van Gogh Museum is a fitting home for this focused show on Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, one of the last great masters of the Japanese woodblock print. On display is his famous series One Hundred Aspects of the Moon, shown at the museum for the first time.
Each print captures a story, a legend or a historical figure under moonlight, and the detail and colour are remarkable up close. It is a small exhibition, so it slots neatly into a visit to the permanent Van Gogh collection.
