Short track is speed skating’s rowdier cousin: four to six skaters on a tight 111 metre track, elbows out, with crashes, overtakes and photo finishes in almost every race. The Netherlands is one of the strongest nations in the sport, and the Tilburg round of the ISU World Tour is the only Dutch stop on the 2026/27 calendar.
Races are short and come thick and fast, so even newcomers will be hooked within a few heats. The relay finals on the last day are usually the loudest moment of the weekend.
