The Vakantiebeurs is the Netherlands’ big travel fair, now rebranded as The GetAway by Vakantiebeurs. Every January it fills the Jaarbeurs with tour operators, tourism boards, campsites and travel companies, all keen to help you plan the year’s holidays.
For expats it is a useful way to get ideas for trips around Europe and to find Dutch-run tours, cycling holidays and campsites that you might not spot online. Keep an eye out for fair-only deals, and bring a bag for the brochures.
- When: Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 January 2027, daily 10:00 to 17:00
- Where: Jaarbeurs, Jaarbeursplein 6, Utrecht
- Tickets: €17.50 presale or €19.50 at the door; children 8 to 14 pay €7.50 presale, and under 8s pay €1
- Getting there: direct trains run from Amsterdam Centraal to Utrecht Centraal, and the Jaarbeurs is about a 10 minute walk from the station.
Good to know: a ticket is valid for one day of your choice, so pick a weekday if you want quieter halls.
