Formula 1 may have left Zandvoort after 2026, but single-seater racing is not done with the dunes. Formula E, the electric world championship, makes its Dutch debut at Circuit Zandvoort in June 2027 with a double-header: one race on Friday and another on Saturday, in the first season of the new Gen4 cars.
The series is planning a shorter layout of around 3 km on part of the circuit, and the organisers have talked about a beach festival with live music after Friday’s race. Ticket details had not been published when we checked.
- When: Friday 18 and Saturday 19 June 2027
- Where: Circuit Zandvoort
- Tickets: check the official Formula E site for prices and release dates
- Getting there: direct trains run from Amsterdam Centraal and Haarlem to Zandvoort aan Zee, and the circuit is a short walk from the station.
Good to know: it is not as loud as F1, so it is a good motorsport outing with children.
