Big news for the coast: the KLM Open, the Dutch national golf open on the DP World Tour, moves to the Kennemer Golf & Country Club in Zandvoort in 2027. It is a return to a classic course tucked in the dunes just behind the North Sea, where the tournament was last played over a decade ago.
Watching pro golf up close is surprisingly relaxing: you follow a group around the course, stand right by the tee and the green, and soak up the sea air. Combine it with a beach afternoon and you have a properly good day out.
- When: Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 June 2027
- Where: Kennemer Golf & Country Club, Zandvoort
- Tickets: not yet on sale; follow the official site for prices and release dates
- Getting there: direct trains run from Amsterdam Centraal and Haarlem to Zandvoort aan Zee; check the official site for shuttle or walking routes to the course.
Good to know: wear comfortable shoes and bring a rain jacket. The dunes are lovely but the weather on the coast changes fast.
