The Stedelijk’s big Yayoi Kusama retrospective covers more than seventy years of work by one of the most influential artists of the past century. You will know the polka dots and pumpkins, but the show goes much further, with painting, sculpture, installations, drawings, fashion, collages and records of her happenings.
It is the kind of exhibition that works for art lovers and for teenagers who mainly want a good photo. Slots are limited, so book ahead rather than turning up on the day.
